La Française de l’Energie ends up the purchase of Gazonor

La Française de l’Energie (LFDE) est heureuse d’annoncer la finalisation de l’acquisition de Transcor Astra Luxembourg (TAL) et de sa filiale opérationnelle, Gazonor SAS (Gazonor), pour un montant de 19.87 millions d’euros.

Cette transaction représente une étape majeure dans le développement de LFDE et conclut le processus initié le 14 janvier 2016.

La Française de l’Energie devient, avec cette opération, le premier producteur de gaz en France et continue de renforcer son positionnement d’acteur de référence dans la mise en place de circuits courts d’approvisionnement en énergie locale sur les anciens bassins miniers du Nord et de l’Est de la France.

Gazonor, un actif stratégique pour le développement de LFDE

Gazonor détient deux concessions et deux permis exclusifs de recherche sur l’ancien bassin minier du Nord-Pas de Calais sur lesquels 6.37 milliard de m3 de réserves 2P et 52.9 milliard de m3 de ressources contingentes 2C ont déjà été certifiées.

Avec l’activité de Gazonor, La Française de l’Energie devient le premier producteur de gaz en France et génère des revenus grâce à la production de gaz de mine actuellement injecté et vendu sur le site d’Avion, sous forme de gaz, dans le réseau régional de gazoducs.

Des perspectives importantes de développement déjà identifiées

Cette acquisition va permettre à LFDE de mettre en oeuvre la transformation annoncée pour capturer, dans les anciennes galeries minières, le gaz de mine présent et le valoriser en électricité propre, utilisée localement.

Cette transaction permet également à LFDE de réaliser sa première expansion à l’international du Groupe, en Belgique, au travers de Gazonor qui y détient deux permis dans la région Wallonne.

Our engineers embrace the energy transition with a pragmatic view.

Recovering abandoned mine gas avoids fatal gas emissions into the atmosphere, while local coal gas reduces the need to import much more carbon-intensive gases. Abundant solar energy is both local and renewable.

To support the energy transition, at FDE, we are constantly innovating, looking for new solutions for the future, such as hydrogen, a decarbonized energy, or CO2 sequestration in coal.

In addition, all energy produced by our Group is designed to be more virtuous. All these processes therefore make FDE the only French energy producer with a negative carbon footprint.

Define indices and performance indicators for monitoring HSE activities and promote benchmarking to identify areas for improvement,

Encourage employee participation and involvement in health, safety and environmental protection processes through training and creation of tools for sharing experience and knowledge.

This culture of risk prevention and control applies to all employees, partners and suppliers. It involves setting concrete objectives and deploying action plans as part of a continuous improvement process to better anticipate tomorrow's challenges. This policy is reviewed annually, as are the associated indicators and targets.
