M€ 2.8 subsidy granted to Gazonor for its “Zéro Emission Gazonor 2022” plan

La Française de l’Énergie (Euronext : LFDE – ISIN : FR0013030152), leader de l’écologie industrielle, annonce l’obtention de l’aide européenne du programme FEDER-FSE (Fonds Européen de Développement Régional – Fonds Social Européen) Nord-Pas-de-Calais, d’un montant de 2,8 M€, pour sa filiale Gazonor dans le cadre de l’opération « Zéro Emission Gazonor 2022 ». Cette opération a pour objectif de mettre en place plusieurs nouveaux sites de récupération du gaz de mine afin de le valoriser en circuits courts et éliminer toutes les émissions de grisou sur l’ancien bassin minier.

Ce financement confirme l’engagement fort de La Française de l’Énergie sur son territoire ainsi que la contribution écologique et économique de son activité dans la région. Cette subvention va accompagner le plan de développement du Groupe qui prévoit le déploiement de nouvelles unités de cogénération sur le bassin minier afin d’installer d’ici fin 2021, 30 MW supplémentaires de production d’électricité verte issue de gaz de mine dans les Hauts-de-France.

Julien Moulin, Président de La Française de l’Énergie, déclare : « Le soutien fidèle de la région Hauts-de-France, et désormais de l’Union européenne, confèrent au projet de Gazonor, une envergure inédite, à la hauteur des ambitions de nos équipes pour participer activement à la transition énergétique de la région. Notre activité permet déjà d’éviter l’émission de plus de 602 000 tonnes de CO2eq[1] par an et nous positionne comme le premier contributeur à la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre dans la région. Nous sommes bien décidés à conforter cette position et à poursuivre notre développement afin de fournir de l’énergie locale, plus propre, aux territoires concernés par notre activité, tout en annihilant les émissions de CO2eq provenant des anciennes mines de la Région. »

Frédéric Nihous, conseiller régional délégué à la politique de l’énergie et à la transition énergétique, précise : « La Région Hauts-de-France est pleinement engagée dans la mise en oeuvre de la troisième révolution industrielle dont la déclinaison se traduit par deux objectifs majeurs : l’avènement d’une économie décarbonée et la création de nouvelles activités permettant le développement de notre territoire. Nous sommes donc ravis de soutenir, en partenariat avec l’Union Européenne, une pépite régionale : Gazonor. Grâce au soutien du programme FEDER, Gazonor va pouvoir installer de nouveaux sites de récupération du grisou, ce gaz fatal particulièrement polluant, afin d’éviter tout rejet de ce gaz à l’atmosphère tout en permettant sa valorisation en circuits courts sous forme de gaz, d’électricité verte et de chaleur. Voilà l’occasion de faire d’un stigmate du passé, un atout et une richesse pour l’avenir et le développement du bassin minier. »

We choose abandoned sites, make the most of the potential of local suppliers and service providers, and participate in a local center of expertise that involves universities, local authorities and associations in the local energy project.

FDE lacks neither the resources nor the know-how to deploy tailor-made energy solutions for everyone and for the planet.

Our engineers embrace the energy transition with a pragmatic view.

Recovering abandoned mine gas avoids fatal gas emissions into the atmosphere, while local coal gas reduces the need to import much more carbon-intensive gases. Abundant solar energy is both local and renewable.

To support the energy transition, at FDE, we are constantly innovating, looking for new solutions for the future, such as hydrogen, a decarbonized energy, or CO2 sequestration in coal.

In addition, all energy produced by our Group is designed to be more virtuous. All these processes therefore make FDE the only French energy producer with a negative carbon footprint.

Define indices and performance indicators for monitoring HSE activities and promote benchmarking to identify areas for improvement,

This policy is reviewed annually, as are the associated indicators and targets.
